This according to the data report for my car(1964 Corvette coupe D5 tag wich is the 5 of December 1963)
The original delivery dealer was Dealer code 127 in zone 20.

The name and Address for the Dealer was:
Cormier Chevrolet
Long Beach, CA

Any heard of them?

Also the tag on my 1964 coupe says D5(December the 6 1963)but the GM official Production Date was 12/6/1963 according to the data report.

The question then do they bother and can they check to whom they sold my car?
One thing is for sure and that is that it have to be that they have the old paperwork

I have phoned them and the manager said they could not help me.
How long does the DMV keep the papers for a car that have been sold to Europe?

Cormier Chevrolet was one of the biggest dealers in southern California in the 60's and 70's. They used to have a massive and well lit display of cars on their rooftop so that folks on an elevated section of the nearby I-405 freeway could see them.

Cormier is still in business to this day although I expect that the ownership has changed, maybe several times.

The chances that they could today provide you with information on a 1964 Corvette originally sold there? I would say it's just about as close to ZERO as anything could possibly be. Dealerships just don't usually keep paper records for anywhere near this length of time.

You are absolute right that they dont have any records of the car. I phoned them and the manager told me that they did not have any papers going that far back.
That there is no rust on the car i suppose is because that the car is a California car from new. No rust on the frame and no rust on the birdcage. I even took the windshield out and there is no rust

I suppose the car was sold from California to Sweden where i bought the car

Joe, the dealership might have changed in someways, but it is still alongside the 405 freeway in Long Beach, and they still have cars, including a new corvette, parked on the roof, overlooking the freeway. They may even have a corvette suspended from a crane above the roof. I drove past it last Saturday.
