I joined NCRS for a very specific purpose -- to further my search for the owner of a Corvette I owned in 1968. This is the ad I've been running in pretty nearly every Driveline since I joined:
"1968 convertible194678S412601 sold by original owner (me) in Dayton, Ohio in 1969 - looking for information from subsequent and/or current owner(s). Original color was international blue, with white soft top and blue interior. Still have original documentation - would like to reunite same with car. Contact Jeff Gorss at jgorss@nycap.rr.com."
The car had a base 300 HP 327 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. The March 19, 1969 bill of sale I have for the car indicates I sold it to "Henry County Motors", PO Box 237, Dunreith, Ind". (Dunreith is a small community about 80 miles west of Dayton.) The bill of sale was signed "Ronald Childress by Secy". If this is or was your car, or you know anything about it or the 1969 purchaser, I would like to hear from you and discuss the documentation I still have. Along with this documentation, I have numerous photos of the car in its youth.
