Do I need to resize a big bitmap?

Hey guys, I've have an 870 KB bmp file of gasoline distillation curves (provided to my by Dr. Mike Ingham) that I want to post on the TDB, but I think it might be too big to upload. Is there a way to convert it to something that's still readable, but a smaller file size like jpg of pdf?

The current bmp file has good resolution at 100 percent, about 500 x 600 pixels..

Duke,

BMP max file size is 300kb 800x600.

PDF would work.

Thanks, so at 870 KB this file is too big. How can it be converted to jpg or pdf?

TDB member (name withheld at his request) converted the bitmap to jpg, gif, and pdf.

I started a new thread titled "Gasoline Distillation Curves" and uploaded the jpg, which is less than 100 kB.

But I've got another problem. I hacked up the spelling of "distillation" in the thread title. I tried to edit it and it's correct on the thread itself, but did not correct on the thread listing page.

I then tried to delete the thread after copying the text, so I could redo the whole thing, but could not find a delete button on the edit/delete page.

So, can one of the moderators correct the spelling of "distillation" as listed in the thread title page.
