    '62 clock restoration

Does anyone have the name of someone who can restore a '62 clock? Seems everyone can do a quartz conversion, but not an original restore. I've also been told there are no parts available any longer. And that a '62 clock's guts are '62 exclusive.?
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Bernie:
I used Clockworks to replace the original movement for my '69 and the service was great. Go to their website (he advertises in the Driveline) and see what they offer for your '62. It took less than 1 week from the time I sent the clock off to when I received it back. Hope this helps.

Try D & M Restoration in Greenville SC. They also advertise in Driveline. They have some of my gages right now and advertise clocks and radios as well.

Send it to Clockworks. $39.95 + shipping last time I had one done. Excellent work. Nothing unique about a 62 clock. Clockworks can also do a quartz conversion on a C1 clock, but they are expensive, as there is no direct replacement movement made.

Install a 1 amp in line fuse in the clock power lead when you reinstall. This will prevent damage to the clock in low voltage situations, and possibly prevent a fire if you should get stuck points.

Thanks for the great info! I'll get a hold of Clockworks.
