Knock off hub cap locking pins

How do you install the locking pins when reinstalling the knock off hubs. My wheels are the KH Western mfr.

    Thanks in advance ,

    Jack,
Firstly, your wheels are either KH (Kelsey-Hayes which were OEM) or Western Wheel which are reproductions. The latter is what I have on my '65. The way I install the locking pin is, using a lead face hammer, tap the spinner to "tight" then tap it back to where one of the grooves in the spindle aligns with one of the grooves in the spinner. Slide or tap lightly (don't force it) the pin into the groove until it seats and then tap the spinner forward to slightly engage the pin.
Put the cap back on and you're good to go. This has worked for me with no problems. Others may offer different methods
