I want to minimize deductions when I have my 65 Flight Judged. My car currently has a set of Coker Goldline Radials. I am planning on purchasing a set of "show only" bias ply tires and am considering Goldline Goodyear Power Cushions by Kelsey tires ( http://www.kelseytire.com/tirechart.htm ). Does anyone have experience with these tires? Is that the way to go for flight judging to minimize point decutions? Thanks for the input.

Re: Goldline Repros
Chris
I had a set of Coker Firestone "Deluxe Champions" for my 66 which of course where incorrect since in 66 Firestone Goldlines were "SuperSport" - not Deluxe Champion ! I purchased a set of repro Kelsey supplied Goldline "Goodyear Power Cushions" and they really look quite accurate except for the fact that they have DOT markings. I am fortunate to have a "like new" original Goldline Goodyear Power Cushion spare and I can tell you - the repro is quite accurate. I have not had the tires judged yet but it is my belief that for the 66 - this is as good as it gets re repros. I assume it would be the case for the 65 but I do not have the JM re the 65 spec.
Hope this helps.- Top
