I am having trouble installing a new choke rod on my 1968 L36 (427/390HP) so that it doesn't interfere with the adjacent choke return spring on the carb. Both the intake manifold and Rochester carb are correct. The thermostatic choke spring mechanism, choke stove housing, and choke rod are new (from Paragon) and I believe them to be correct and are precisely as illustrated in the Paragon catalog.
I am aware that some bending of the rod may be necesssary, but I am unsure of how best to do this. The AIM doesn't have an illustration of the desired choke installation details for the L36, so it isn't much help.
I would be very pleased to receive an electronic photo(s) of an installed choke assembly from anyone owning a 68 or 69 L36.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help me.
