    68 Radiator

I just received my radiator from the shop with a new/correct core.
Question is I know the tanks should be painted black but did the factory also paint the copper core or should it be left bare copper.
Also, are side tanks Gloss Black , Satin or Flat black, as the Judging Manual does not say anything about color.

It is the 327/350 heavy copper radiator used with air conditioning. I think it is the same as the 427 radiator.
Want to get this cleaned up and installed as soon as possible.
    Is 50/50 antifreeze/water solution correct?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you

    Kurt -

It's all gloss black, and 50/50 mix is correct.

      Kurt------

For radiator painting, I recommend the special radiator paint available from Eastwood. It's the right color and it's specially formulated for use on radiators. It's the ONLY thing that I will use on my radiators. The entire radiator was painted---tanks and core. No bare metal is found on these.

The small block copper/brass radiator was used for all small blocks with THM-400 and/or A/C. It is NOT the same unit as used for big blocks, although it is similar in configuration.

        Thanks, Joe.
I know the paint you speak of from Eastwood. I have used it and have a spray can in the garage, Hope there is enough..
I cleaned up the tanks tonight and will spray tomorrow. Taking the day off from work to get some much needed garage time. Have been bench bleeding the master cylinder and might get that in tomorrow also.
