    C3 "Corvette"name plate

I have just recently bought a 73 Roadster. On my particular car above the gauges there is not a name plate that says "CORVETTE" I have seen some cars have this and others that do not. Should this be there? Also, being just new to Corvettes, what is a good refernce book for this type of thing? Thanks

On the top of the center instrument cluster is a 'blank plate' with script Corvette that was used to fill the hole on non-A/C equipped cars. Cars with air conditioning had center vent louvers here.

A good 'picture book' is MF Dobbins' Fact Book. It's available through the NCRS merchandise center (Store pull down on this web site). Also handy items for your support library for 'baby' are the NCRS Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide (what do judges look for?), the Assembly Instruction Manual (how did the factory build your car?), and the Chassis Service Manual (what did GM tell dealership maintenance folks about care and feeding?), for a good starter base.

Thanks very much for the info. My Roadster has air so that explains that.
