I see the NCRS Judging Guide mentions four -piece fan shroud for 55 but 55 and early 56 they have FIVE .Which is the bottom support piece that keeps the lower center piece from moving. Its held by the two hole in the lower shroud then by two srews in-to the radiator support.
It also said the 6V and 12V headlamps are tin backs.
55 Corvette used two type bulbs
Early are Tin back
Mid to late are Seal Beam= like today
Both had 12V inbossed in the glass
But Delco also offered over the couter (parts house) a 12V tin back having NO inbossed 12V in the glass but a sticker on the glass to identifie them as 12V.
I no longer enter judging my Corvettes because I install dealer options ( I love options)also my 55 has the green bubble top, and my 67 327-350hp has the big block hood that Noland wrote about 20 years ago and is still argued about .But I still think NCRS is the best game in town!I was just looking over the Manual I got to see how things are going.
