Jo,
Larry is right in saying that now is the time to get everything done right and don't be in a hurry but it can be hard to control yourself.
I did a couple of repairs that I wasn't really satisfied with but was sick of hanging out in the shed so "let them through". I will probably have to re-do them again if I keep the car for a long time.
I "finished" my resto last August and have been driving it ever since but I still haven't realy finished and only just ordered another pile of bits this morning.
My view was that if I tried to get everything perfect before putting her back on the road then I would be like some of the guys on this forum who spent six or eight years to finish, I'm not that confident that I will even survive that long so I just did the most important things and got her back on the road.
I did have a very old side mirror until recently and I still haven't done the convertible top (ordered it this morning) but I have been enjoying driving the 59 for the last year instead of spending it in the shed.
Keep the faith and don't put a time limit to it.
Mark.
