I am hoping that some of the people out there who have had experience with mid year coupe doors and hinges can offer some advice.
I have discovered that the three large head rivets located at the front of the driver's door (on the inside)that hold the door hinge mounting plate (inside the door) are loose. This has caused the hinges themselves to become "wobbly" in relation to the door, even though all hinge bolts are tight.
What is the easiest way to repair these three loose rivets, hopefully without removing the door ? This problem may have occured due to a long term misalignment in the door striker / latch engagement. What is the best method to adjust the door latches, while maintaining good door to body fit when closed ?
Thanks in advance everyone..
