Re: Daily laugh -- CLEAR TITLE

My memory is not clear on this, however I think the "A" on the vin is for the assembly plant in Atlanta and to the best of my recolution, in 1966 some Corvette parts were accidently sent to Atlanta and the mistake was not realized until the parts were delivered to the assembly line where the cars were accidently assembled, so this may be a legimate car. Now I have several bridges in NY for sale. Is anyone interested? Ha Ha

      Re: What's the big deal

Most likely the real proof would lie in the frame VIN stamped on top of the frame rail, midway of the drivers seat. Below is a picture a fiberglass impression I took off my frame which clearly reveals the VIN. It's not that hard to check.

        Re: RED ALERT

It is obvious this car needs a lot of scrutiny by anyone thinking about buying it. This is one of those buyer beware cars. Who ever ends up with this one is going to have a going to have a heck of an time to register it at any DMV. I wonder if the car is registered now???
The trim incorrect trim tag is only the beginning for this car!

I notified the Fort Lauderdale Police Car Theft Squad about it - should give them something interesting to investigate. Dontcha love the Chevelle VIN plate and "Body by Fisher" Chevelle trim tag from Chevrolet-Atlanta?

            Read the listing fine print.

"Seller foxauto273 assumes full responsibility for the content of this listing and the item offered."

What car line is 36? What was built in a city beginning with "A" or is the whole thing bogus? All convertibles had 67 for 4th and 5th digits.

Nice '65 Dash and air cleaner. Atlanta was a BOP plant in the mid-60's but built Chevelles.

                  Re: I don't think it's even a '66

                  Jerry,
I think you are right. 66's don't have in line fuel filter and interior door pulls are chrome. Not a 66 air cleaner

                    The Plot thickens...

Some poor guy has bid on this car... NO reserve and the open bid was too high for a 66'(or is it a 65 or both!) small block. But is it really a poor guy or someone in cahoots w/ the seller-Read their Feedback.

                        Re: The Plot thickens...

I think he's a shill bidder... the seller has 5 negatives... the buyer has 4 negatives (out of 19)... if they aren't in cahoots, the buyer deserves what he gets.
I emailed the seller and asked him about the tags... what a shock, no answer yet.....
Wonder what the bidder would say to a warning?
