I recently completed installing new shocks, rotors, bearings, ball joints on the front end of my 66 coupe. On the first test drive it felt as though the tires were severely under-inflated, although they had normal air pressure. Steering just felt wrong. Everything looks to be re-installed correctly but I do have one question - probably stupid, but I've never done this before. I used the replacement ball joints from LIC and on the upper A-arm installed the joint from the top down through the A-arm. Is that correct or should they be bolted to the underside of the upper arm? All the steering connections appear to be correct, wheels rotate just fine, and I believe bearings are adjusted correctly, but it is so bad I'm afraid to take the car out on the street. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
