I'm trying to make sense out of the AIM and am a little confused. I don't have it in front of me so my terminology may not be exact, please bear with me.
From the text in the AIm it sounds like the sounds like the fitting on the arm extending from the actuator should be adjusted so that it reaches the forward end of the "slot" with the headlight door open. Then for it should be extended another half turn for clearance.
My problem is that if I unscrew the fitting that far it falls off.
Am I interpreting the AIM correctly? Seems like it should be adjusted so that the door opens and closes completly without bottoming out the actuator in either direction.
Also I've noticed that with all the springs in place for the headlight door the "Pivot arm" (at the end of the actuator arm, through the "slot") does not move in the slot. It stays in the forward position. This may be because I'm operating the door manually vs by vacuum.
any thoughts would be appreaciated.
Thanks
