Thanks to everyone who responded to my post regarding VIN# on my '65 Roadster. You guys are very helpful. I have another question. Does anyone make drop spindles for my car? I'd like to drop it an inch or two in front. I would also like to do a set of Torque Thruster wheels in a sixteen or seventeen inch. How big can I go? What is the correct offset? What tire works good on that car? I don't want to get into tire scrub, crappy ride, etc. I know alot of you think I'm nuts but as this car is not numbers matching I want to do a little something different, while retaining the ability to return the car to stock in the future.

Think you're barking up the wrong tree.......
don't think anyone is making drop spindles, unless you get someone to make them for you, but then again it depends how deep are your pockets. You know the old saying, "Show me the cash".
Forget the 16 & 17" rims, won't clear your fenders, unless you take a hack saw and eliminate the fender lips. The widest rim you can put under your car are the 68 vette 7" rally rims, and then you're stretching it with tire rub against the inner fender lip.
Now, you can get away with it if you add fender flares.- Top
