In C3 late model years, Forbes primer is listed for painting the birdcage assembly while flat black paint is specified for windshield frame, rear window frame, fender louver openings and wheel housings and probably other black out operations.
Any insights into Forbes Primer and why it was referred to as such in assembly manual and how it differed from the flat black specified for visible frame assemblies?
