My rocker panels have oxidized to the point that buffing doesn't do much for them. Before I tackle this restoration job, I'd like a little insight...
I actually taken sandpaper to a real ratty "test panel" and sanded past the surface layer (hard coat anodize?) and it buffed out very nice.
Over a period of a couple weeks however, I could see oxidation beginning to fade the brillance off.
Would a coat of Clear Gloss Polyurethane prevent this? Any other ideas?
I surfed the web and saw something on a "bright dip" (oxymoron?) process.
Open for suggestions..
