I would like to straighten the driver side front bumper attachment bracket that is welded into to the outer end of the bumper.
What is the best way to attempt this?
I heating needed? Will heat on the bracket discolor the chorme on the front?
Is hydraulic equipment needed? What kind of shop is most likely to have the equipment and skill to do the job?
The bumper is off the car. I tried hammering the bracket with a block of wood as a pad, but I am not budging it. It is about an inch our of alignment.
Any advice will be appreciated. The car is a driver, and the bumpers are decent looking now. This left one took a minor hit that bent the center brackets and this attachment. I will replace the center brackets, but would prefer not to replace the bumper.
Thanks,
Spike
