    67/427/400hp header

I decided to have the valve covers repaired and repainted. I noticed on the header on the drivers side on the back side of the header is a very large threaded adapter into the header with a temp sending unit threaded into the adaptor. Not sure why the sending unit is there and it came out real easy but I can't get the adaptot loose. Is that suppose to be there or is it suppose to be a flush plug like on the other side of the car. The headers are correct for the car.

    Roger -

Are you referring to "header" as in tubular exhaust headers, or do you mean "heads" as in cylinder heads?

No temp sender boss on heads, if the heads are correct for 1967. Tube headers could have something...
