Is anyone out there a judge or has ever judged an event? Have you ever seen the wheels on the 1982 Collector Edition? The NCRS Judging guide States "The background area behind the spokes was a moderately dark silver beige color with a slightly darker brown for the center cap" "Very dark background colors have been observed on GM replacement wheels and caps" "It is generally believed that these were non-typical of factory production wheels" I'm a bit concerned because my wheels are original and they are a med. to dark brown where described above. I've never entered into an NCRS event, Jan. will be my first and I won't be confortable trying to explain that this is the original paint that came on these orig. wheels if the judges feel different. Not sure what I'm asking, any advice on how to handle this so it won't be a big issue?

Re: 1982 CE wheels - judging
Glad that you will have your car judged for the first time. Just go with having fun and learn as you go. Most judges appricate a "first time being judged" car. They will talk with you about any items that may come up. Age does strange things to all of things including us. I can't say what a judge will do, but you shouldn't have any problem with original wheels. You should have some "great" judges in FL for 82 class. At least there is usually. Ken- Top

John, again don't sweat it, just go and have fun. I did at my first event with my 82. I assume you will be at the Winter Regional. Brian Pearce (78-82 Team Leader) will be at there and he owns an all original 82CE. All the judges who went over both my 82's were always top-notch. I hope to OJ 78-82's, so see you there!
