    C1 Powerglide Tailhousing

I'm assembling a 1960 Powerglide for my car and would like to know what the correct length of the tailhousing should be. I don't have the correct housing with the shifter mounting so I'll be selecting a tailhousing from a passenger car and making a bracket. I have two tailhousing to choose from and there is a 2" difference between them. I'm also looking or Powerglide shifter if anyone has a used one for sale. Thanks

The extension housing for a cast iron Powerglide as used for 1960 Corvettes is 7-1/4" long.

The longer one was used in the wagon and shorter one Corvette 55 to 61, Car 55 to 57 for sure, all are the same , but for the shifter mount as you said.
