    C1 Convertible top adjustments

One more question guys. Where can I get some simple clearly worded instructions on adjusting my C1 convertible top frame, before I put the top on. I thank you all for any responses.

clearly worded instructions don't exist but by all means, don't even think about tacking the soft top vinyl/pads/straps to the bow assembly UNTIL you've adjusted the windshield posts to door posts to window frames. take your time and keep adjusting(and sometimes straightening bent frame assembly components) until the window glass seals onto the soft top weathestriping.then you can begin to attach the soft top vinyl/ pads and straps.good luck. mike

If you have a hardtop, or can borrow one, put it on first and check the fit of the windows, doors, door posts, etc. If the hardtop doesn't fit, the soft top won't either.

Ron, the 53-62 Corvette Servicing Guide is helpful with the top frame adjustments, page 1-29. This can be purchased here in the store. This book will also help you with the window track adjustments.
As far as your front end alignment goes make sure the alignment shop knows
C-1s.Some/most of the guys aligning front ends today have never seen one.
It would be a good idea to take the this same book with you to the front end shop.

The easy response is to rest the frame onto the windows to assure fit and bolt up from there. I know that sounds a little simplistic but thats the starting place. The other comments about getting the windows and post fitting is right on also.
