63 / 64 Hood question

i'm needing a 63 hood and would like to know the difference between a 63 and a 64. i'm trying to find out if i can use a 64 and install the hood grills.

I'll let others answer on the grills. Another consideration is the hood allignment blocks. On a 63 depending on the build date and depending on the model coupe/roadster, there were either 2 or 4 or no allignment blocks. I do not believe the 64 hood has the 4 bolt plates installed between the upper and lower glass that makes up the hood. The blocks are normally white plastic held on by 2 bolts.

I don't think it will work. As I recall, there is an indentation for the grilles to sit down in. The grilles are close to even with the fiberglas.

That's correct. The 63 64 look the same except for the grills. But the 64 has no recess for the grills to sit in. Also the 64 doesn't have the alignment blocks as mentioned earlier.
