    69 turn signals

went out for a little ride with the top down today nice! Turn signals quit working, Came home looked in the owners manual for the flasher, no help. I found 1 on the p s up under the dash. Put in a new fuse, the old one was not blown. Put in a new flasher there. still no signals. Is there another flasher some where? I also checked Chiltons and it showed no location for a flasher.thanks in advance for any help or thoughts as to what might be my problem.

    Re: 69 turn signals

    Tom:
The turnsignal flasher IS under the map pocket on the passenger side. There is one other flasher and that is for the 4-way emergencey signal and I believe it is located under the storage tray behind the passenger' seat. There could be a third flasher if you have a burglar alarm. That is also located under the storage tray. I'll leave the diagnosis to someone more knowledgeable than me.

Tom the turn signal flasher that you changed out located on the passenger side under the dash is the right one. The flasher located on the fuse panel is for your emergency flashers. If you have a factory burglar alarm, the flasher unit is located in the storage compartment where your jack is kept.
If you manually make your turn signals flash by selecting and deselecting the lift and right turn signals do they work?
If the emergency flashers work, I would try another new flasher unit.

I got the turn signals working.I turned off the switch for the seat belt light and the turn signals started working. You were correct the 4 way flashers did not work at all I found the spot for a flasher in the fuse panel, put in a flasher and thay work fine. I went into the storage compartment and I found 1 re wire AND 1 black wire both with plastic ends on them. They went into 1 wire with a strange looking end on it, but doing nothing. Thanks for all your help.
