Regards to all.
I was wondering if there is any method to clean the termination of the fiber optic line. All of mine work except the left rear tail light. When I removed the lens cover, the fiber optic line looked dirty, it was brownish in color. My first thought is to scrape it, but I wanted to check before I did any possible damage with solvents or scraping.

Use a que tip with alcohol to clean the end. If it is stained so badly that it will not clean up you can take a single edge razor blade and cut 1/8" or so off the end. Be sure that the cut is square.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. It kinda gets to me that that's the only one that doesn't work. Hope that's my problem. I'm still abit confused though, looking through the catalogs last night, I see that they sell lenses for the ends. These seem to be either red or amber. I'd assume red for brake/tail and amber for parking lights. So is it hte actual fiber I'd be sutting or the lens???? In any case I'll try cfleaning and/orcutting tonight.

It is the fiber optics cable that you cut.

I'm just wondering if the exposed part in the tail light housing is the lens or the cable. I'll check the AIM to see if that info is in there. I guess if it's the lens, I'll have to figure out how to remove the lense and expose the cable.
