    C1 testing electical stuff

Nothing has had power for 15 years. I want to test moters, etc before assembly.
Heater moter runs good. Wiper moter doesn't do anything. Before I put voltage to the radio, I thought I might ask. Any reason I shouldn't try it?

I can't think of any good reason not to try things out. Make sure you get them grouded at the proper points. The wiper motor just grounds to the case. If it's not working, check the switch under the ciover. They are a weak link and may need to be replaced or adjusted. There is a good section on the wper motor in the ST-12.

When I worked the wiper switch properly it works fine, both speeds, and it restores.
Bench testing the radio, there are two male leads on the radio, is one lights and the other radio? The ground is shown as a differant wire.

        Larry,
That is correct, one connection is the light and the other is the radio. The ground is simply the case of the radio at any point. Just hook a cliplead to the case and hook to the negative terminal on the battery.
