C-1 Grease Pencil Mark

On my '58, I have the number 27 marked with a green grease pencil just back from the speaker opening on the bare dash. Can anyone tell me what this refers to?

Probably the Body Shop "job number" - not related to the VIN.

My 1961 job number was marked in green pencil on the passenger door, certainly add's up to be the job number as John pointed out.
