I have purchased a 1970 coupe, with the 454, 390hp, 4 speed. The car has the tri-power setup on it which the owner installed after purchasing the car. He has the original intake for the car. I would like to put it back to original. Is there a market for the tri-power induction setup? Also, does anyone sell Rochester carbs, with the correct date coding? Thank you for the help. Mark

As a member I would think you shouldn't have any trouble "offing the set-up" with an ad in the NCRS driveline issue, or placing it on ebay under collector car and trucks in the proper subcategory. If heading to Corvettes @ Carlisle in August, it certainly would make a good swap meet piece!- Top

Re: 1970 454
Darn, Warren, I was about to tell Mark they are nearly worthless, so many on the market (look at the 6000 '67 435 hp cars) so I'd be willing to give him $50 and shipping. and they would become even more abundant once the GM documentation reveals how many are real 435 hp cars.
Mark, prices vary considering condition, matching of parts, and completeness. i doubt you will see the $4700 price I saw back in '90 at Carlisle once, but then it won't go for my $50 offer, either.
Do a search on eBay and you'll see some of the current prices.- Top

Re: 1970 454
I think you will find BB Rochester carbs somewhat akin to chicken lips in terms of their availability. Communicate with the carburetor vendors who advertise in The Driveline and other automotive publications -- you just might get lucky.Terry- Top
