    Re: Bull Chips...

Bull Chips...Nah, I just made that one up; typically I think they're sliced thicker and they're breaded, fried and left tender in the center. But the descriptions do vary...Prairie Oysters, etc.

In fact, I saw my first in Denver in the late 70s at "Baby Doe's Lost Mine" restraurant. My boss's wife saw them on the menu, where they were described in gentile terms, and she had to have some. Everybody at the table knew what they were except her, and he tried to talk her out of ordering them. After she ate a couple (Ummm, these are good!), he told her what they were. He should have accepted ignorance as bliss, because what happened next was far from bliss...He probably slept on the couch for awhile.

Aw, Terry, yer too modest, man. Git you an ole greasy, sweat-stained Stetson, a similarly stained blue denim snap-button shirt, and I bet you could fit in any real cowboy bar.

Attaboy...It's not like you're going to perform a trepanation on your kid with a power drill or something!

          After Breckenridge....

I took our British visitors to downtown Denver to relish this delicacy, Terry. The Buckhorn Exchange has been around for YEARS and prepares them well. The secret is FRESH/HOT out of the kitchen.... Give 'em 10-15 minutes to cool and the taste changes a bunch!

Report: Two of four Brits ate with relish, one declined to try altogether, the other tried one timidly well after they'd cooled and decided the taste wasn't to the liking.

              Rocky Mountain Oysters

I can't remember the name of the place I went to, but it was decidedly NOT downtown Denver. A small town in the northeast of the state. Of course those were the days when Monfort owned the lane of the interstate named after them.
I do recall that they were much better hot. Had to be the right season also. Whatever time of the year they turn bulls into steers.
Maybe next time you guys have a regional we'll have to hunt up some. Better than the frog legs I had this time. I should have thought of Rocky Mountain Oysters while I was there.
