    Thanks Loren,
    You are too kind. I am just a guy who enjoys building cars whether they be original or modified. I don't like either type better than the other. while I do enjoy driving them, I love the building of them even more than the owning of it after it is finished. I could never even consider buying a car that was already restored! There are those who just can not understand that not every Corvette is a candidate for Top Flight Restoration.

      Hi Joe,

      I noticed you didnt answer the question about the 1/4 mile time (probably not important since you are building the motor for YOURSELF). I was jusr doing the "bench racing thing" and trying to get an estimate. With your '69 set up ( 3.36 gears?), with the ZL-1 set up, I would say low 13's .................13.2. Just wondering since my 69 is almost back, these vettes always take forever............

        My basic intention to not take the car to the track includes all forms of racing. The engine is not being built to exact original ZL-1 configuration. It will produce somewhat less real gross HP but significantly greater torque. And, it will "behave" far better and be far more driveable than an originally-configured ZL-1.
