    C2 body bolt mount #2?

    Dear Members,
I unbolted the rad support bolts, #1 at both sides against firewall, the two at the rear and one on each side behind plates at rear wheelwells. I don't see the #2 at middle frame below door. What am I missing? I am looking beneath where the rocker molding brackets hang down, but don't see anything on my 67 coupe. Is there a hole in the frame? My diagrams show it near the cross member for the tranny, but where? Thank you much!

Justin, I believe that you will find the bolt for this mount goes down thru the rocker sill, under the sill plate, about middle of the door opening

If it is a coupe, it doesn't use the bolt under the sill, they are used on convertibles only. if you look underneath there is no mount on the frame there. All the mounts are welded outboard of the frame rails except the rad support. Just make sure you have unbolted the retaining cables for the seat belts.

        Justin,

Even some converts don't have the body mount under the sill plates. Probably because A.O. Smith made both frames and there was some confusion at St. Louis. Duh! Just can't answer that question like many others. I have a 66 conv. with no body mounts on one side. Figure that!

There was only one frame used for both styles, and it came from A.O. Smith-Granite City without the #2 mount bracket; the #2 mount bracket was stick-welded to the frame on convertibles on the Chassis Line at St. Louis.

            Dear Members,
Thanks all for the support and info! I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm out there. Bill, I did see the studball on the end of the cable for the seatbelts and this is still bolted together underneath. I just figured with everything undone, I'd be able to at least wiggle, if not, move the body off the frame. Yes? Thank you much!

The outboaeds keep things pretty tight. Just make sure inboard and outboard are undone when lifting
