recently read several posts on storage and storage bags for the cars, and how to properly keep a vehicle rust free. I called car bags , one of the best and most inexpensive means of keeping a vehicle pristine . all ncrs members should call john 1800-522-7224 and ask him .

Re: car storage bags
Yep, that's the one that I bought! Was lucky enough to find a 1 year old for less than 1/2 price (with shipping). The car capsule WILL allow condensation to form on the car during sudden temp/humidity changes. The fan will eventually evaporate this moisture, but I'd rather not have any, at all. If your car is in a heated garage and/or you will be driving your car occasionally in the "off season", then I would use the "Car Capsule", otherwise, I concluded that the "Car Jacket" is the better choice.

Re: car storage bags
I have used the CAR Capusle for two seasons. I rent a garage that is 75 yards or less off Barnegat Bay, here in N.J. I believe most people are aware of the brutal weather conditions in this state, especially over the past few years. The Atlantic Ocean is no more than 3 miles from me. I have found the CAR CAPUSLE,to be user friendly. In addition i have never had condensation forming at any time. When i first purchased it i would check on its' performance in all weather conditions including drastic changes in temperatures. The results were always the same, no condensation, or rust of any kind including bolts etc. on the frame.
I purchased a Car Jacket several years ago and was also pleased with its' performance. However,in my opinion the Car Capusle is less of a hassle to use. I also prefer seeing the car while in storage.Lastly,in the Car Capusle the car is protected from wives, kids, bicyles and other Corvette killers. Everything just bounces off.- Top

Re: car storage bags
Can you explain how the humidity level inside these 'capsules' is maintained at a lower level than outside? If there's no device to achieve this, I fail to see how it can prevent condensation.- Top

Re: car storage bags
One question that I had about the car jacket. if I store it with a full tank of fuel and then close it up in the bag/jacket will there be gas fumes? I assume you would need to remove the battery for the same reason if your going to have it on a tender.- Top

Re: car storage bags
Steve I used a bag one winter on a 73 and the gas odor in the spring was so bad I decided it was a time bomb and never used it again. It may have been just a strong odor and would not blow but I didn't like it. LyleLyle
