The most recent thread on this subject cited a car on E-Bay said to be one of those illustrious examples of a BB Hood on a SB car. The owner stated that the car was an original example and spouted the often repeated story. Well, I called on the owner and asked a few questions. When asked what documentation he had, absolutely none was offered. He had absolutely no response what so ever except he did send me a couple of pictures of the hood stand attachments. Please take note of the large reamed out holes where the bracket used to be on the RH side of the innerfender. You can chalk this one up as another wannabee. Unfortunate the legend still lives and continues to propagate.

Re: 67 BB Hood on SB " Another One Bites the Dust"
Someone else has the car now, the winning bid was $30,300.00. Last time I looked on Monday it was $21,000 range. If the hood had the original red paint on it somewhere the seller might not of added the hood since he did have the car repainted and owned it for 20 years. With prices of the 67 Corvettes I would of liked to have bought it for 21K even though it had the BB hood and non original motor just to drive it.- Top
