At what point in the assembly process were the carburetors put on the engine?

I have an engine stamping date of 06-26-67 (vin 22049) on my 327/300HP conv.
What date code would one expect to see on the Holley 3810.

If you have a 67 327 around vin 22049 or later with an original carb, please check your date code for the carb vs the engine stamping. Are there any anomolies out there, around or after vin 22049, where a carb other then a 3810 was used on a 327.

I have been looking around to replace my replacement carb with the original, and I can't seem to find a 3810 with a date code of May or June 67.

The carburetor was installed on the engines while the engine was traveling down the "engine dress" line, about an hour before the engine was installed into the chassis.

I don't know much about that particular carburetor date sequence but it is possible that the last run of that number was shipped to St. Louis in May or June. Maybe someone with a later date will post.

My 1967 roadster, VIN:21135, engine cast date:May 31,1967(E317),engine stamp pad date June 5,1967 (V0605HT) with birthdate of June 19,1967 has a Holley carb #3906631 and date code of 0751 which translates to the 1st week of May, 1967. I also have an extra carb with the same date code.:)

0751 is a service replacement made in mid-March, 1971; pre-'72 production Holley carbs were dated with three digits (year, month, week). Although two to six weeks prior to the car's final assembly date is "typical", any date within six months prior will get full judging credit.

My 67 Coupe (21392) 327 has a cast date F67, stamp of 0620 and carb date of 753. Hope this helps, Kurt
