Today was a rough day. On tuesday, I ordered a set of 5 Firestone 7.75 - 15 goldlines for my '65, which I recieved today. These tires are " Deluxe Champions".
This morning I looked in the Judging Manual (Third Edition with purple cover), and to my alarm, read the following:
" The goldline tire option .........is available in the following brands:
Firestone SUPER SPORTS
Goodyear Power Cushion"
the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up, but I read further:
"Reproduction tires must match the available OEM brand name identification".
Does anyone know what "brand name identification" means. Does it mean "Firestone" or "Firestone Super Sports".
Coker does not reproduce "Super Sports". Do I have to return the tires and get the "Goodyear Power Cushion" goldlines instead.
Thanks in advance.
