Actually, one of my friends owns a very nice Goodpuke Green 67 300 horse 4 speed car. But I still detest green.

Then again, I detest saddle interiors, but own one of those too.

Clem, Could it be that it went so much because only 815 Black exterior 1967's were built, according to my 2003 Black Book? I remember seeing a stripped 1967 Corvette convertible rolling project car at Corvette's at Carlisle, about 3 or 4 years ago, that had an unmolested Black with STD Black interior trim tag. The birdcage pillars were pretty well rusted away, along with the frame. It was for sale at one of the vendor spaces for $3K. Everyone I talked to thought it was TURD and not worth $3K, but a couple hours later it was sold and being loaded on a trailer. It was a 4 speed car and I think (no absolutely sure) was around the 3300-3400 serial number range. FWIW. Dave

Someone is buying an original set of black interior door panels now on ebay. Hum.

Curious, because when I started this project I automatically assumed my Riverside Red was original. At least I think it's riverside red???? Not sure now???

My trim tag says the car was Daytona blue w/ dark blue int. But I suppose if there was any shinanigans going on they would have changed the trim tag.

A lot of cars had color changes without changing the trim tag. Someone had a green car and liked "resale" red. Voila! It became "resale" red. Most people did not care about the tags, let alone know what the codes meant.

Hmmm, maybe that is why I cannot find one little stitch of Daytona blue any where on this car.

Remember his Blue/Blue 1969 L-89 convertible with side pipes run through the Orlando auction 3-4 years ago? It looked nice. I was willing. But that provenance scared me. I did not want provolone from Bologna. Some folk have all the luck finding the oddball cars. Again, and again, and again and ... I know of a triple Black 1967 L-89 convertible here in Connecticut. I think the local NCRS crew judged it TF. Must be real.
