    C1 guages

    I have 2 questions regarding the speedometer & tach in my 62.

    1. The "guts" of the tach and speedo appear identical with the exception of the odometer mechanism in the speedo. Are they interchangeable?

    2. Is there a special tool or procedure for removing the needles from the shafts on these guages?

      I doubt the guts are actually interchangeable, but might be with recalibration. The tach needles will pull off, but I have always had to gently "unscrew" them a bit counterclockwise to get them off.Not sure on the speedo needle, never changed one.
