I am working on an article on restoring these retractors and have come across two types. Type 1 has a pin through the shaft which holds the seat belt in. It is removed by popping the tab from the geared face that the shaft runs through and then pushing the shaft out. Type two seems to be newer and the shaft is held in just by friction and close tolerances. What years do each of these types fit ? I have pictures if anyone would like to look at them. Thanks Jeff
