tips on restoration

i have purchased a67 427 tripower conv. that has been in storage since 1975! it still has the orig paint, the only thing that i see that is not orig is the regulator and mufflers. the elec motors foe the lights and wipers do not work and the int is in rough shape. should i take it to a NCRS meet just the way it is and get some advise on how and what to do? does any body know when the next meet is that is close to seattle wash? also is there a way of telling what type of tires the car was equipped with, the tank sticker is partly there but cannot read it. i have the protectoplate if that will help? as you probably can tell i am green to the corvettes in knowledge!!thanks brad

I think that taking it to a meet is a great idea. This way you can learn and get varying opinions on your car. If the car is very original I would do as little as possible to it as truly original BB 67s are very rare. Congrats on your purchase. As far as your tank sticker goes I would drop the tank and see what options came with your car. Good luck.

leave the car exactly as it is until after you have it judged. There is both an NCRS Chapter Meet and a Regional meet coming up fairly soon, both sponsered by the Northwest Chapter of NCRS.
