    '64 Window Sticker Question

I have a mangled repro sticker that was on my car when I bought it. It has a six digit number at the RH end of the same line as the dealer name (under the bow tie emblem). I think I read somewhere that this is supposed to be a five digit number, two for the zone, three for the dealer number. I'm going to get a new one and I'd like it to be as close as possible. The original dealer was Gorss Chevrolet, Walden, NY and the number in question is 605922. Thanks

Look on this site under Dealer Codes. You might get lucky and find the 5 digit code for the dealer. The first 2 digits will be the Zone and the last 3 digits will be the dealer. Good hunting!

605922 is the "Ident Number", not a dealer/zone number. The "Ident Number" was assigned by St. Louis when they accepted the order for production, and is the only number that followed the car from order acceptance to shipment; it linked the car to the specs on the original dealer order.
