    HOOD ADJUSTMENT

I want to move my 67 hood 1/8" to right to fix gap. I asume there is an adjustment on the 2 hinges attached to front of hood (3 bolts) or body (2 bolts). Which ones do I loosen so I can slide over? Thanks in advance guys. Don

The only adjustment is in the hole slop of the hinges... Therefore you may need to loosen both sets of bolts to gain enough movement. Just do it one set at a time.

Also check your hood hinges, especially the driver side hinge. If it is worn no matter how many times you adjust it, the slop in the hinge(s) allows the hood to be pushed toward the passenger side.

As Steve said, do one side at a time. Usually adjusting one hinge in the direction you want to go will yield the results you want. If if doesn't do to the other hinge. Loosen the hinge to the hood slightly and bump it wih something solid. Just enough to crowd it. If you loosen it all the way, you may wind up with a major misalignment.

Just as improtant as the hinges are the latch pins. They should be removed while you are adjusting the hood. They can have a major influence on the lateral adjustment. You may find that if you take them off, the hood will shut with parallel and even margins, side/side. The pins and latches are only to hold the hood SHUT, not side/side.
