C3 Rear Spring Washers

Are there any decernable markings on the flat side of the washers that constitute originality or are they repro pieces?

I had seen markings on these washers on some cars.

I'm assuming here that you're talking about the spring end cushion retainers (i.e. the large, FLAT pieces that look like washers). The current GM pieces which are of the same part number as the originals used for all 1963-79 Corvettes do have a very small stamping on the "flat" side which says "Made in Canada". I don't believe that the originals did have this. However, the stamping cannot be seen when the retainers are installed on the car and, as I mentioned, the configuration of the reatiners is otherwise exactly the same as the originals. So, for all practical purposes, the stamping is moot.

I thought the side with the bevel went TOWARD the cushon. If so, can the stamping be seen when installed? Just guessing here.

Yes it can be seen.Flat side down.

Yes, you're right. The bottom ones could be seen. So, in that case, just grind it off (it's very lightly stamped and very small) or fill it with a little JB Weld.
