    1961 CORRECT REAR VIEW MIRROR

I have a early 61, around #500. I have a rear view mirror with a S in a circle and three rivets on the back. I think it is a 1960 mirror. Could this be correct? Thanks, Joe DeLuca

    Joe...

My early '61 mirror was chrome plated and has the word "Guide" stamped near the ball stud. If your mirror has completely rounded corners, it is a 1958-1960.
61's was narrower at the top and slanted down. There was an optional mirror #3783306 used that I have no kowledge of.

Dennis, Would left over mirror's from 1960,be used on early 61 cars? Like GM did with the top tank radiators?

        Frank...

My answer is yes. My 1961, built on Oct. 4th 1960 had clutch head bolts holding the splash shields as an example.
