      I'm currently installing some Knoch panels, and both fit as you describe. I got Knoch because they are supposed to be the best. I would hate to have the others. I don't understand why they can't be made to fit closer, especially on the vent knob.

          I am currently having the EXACT same problem trying to install my repro panels. Everything lines up pretty good except the shaft of the lock mechanism. The panel needs to go downward about 1/4" to center the shaft. I was contemplating grinding down the fiberglass at the rear of the inner door so the panel can go down farther. Sounds like this may be the only fix. What a pain! Anybody else run into these problems with repro panels?
