I had to do a little patch/repair work on the heater box on my '65 conv. I am now trying to figure out how to get the appearance of the repair to look like the original finish. Does anyone know of a product for this purpose? I saw that Eastwood offers a spray paint for heater boxes and such, but I don't know the quality of it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
The heater box under the hood is not painted. Its tough to duplicate the fibers that are surface exposed. If your repair is a hairline crack or such maybe you can get away with lightly bead blasting with LOW pressure or such. Test it on the inside until you develop your procedure before you go to the exterior.
Thanks Steve. Unfortunately I had to do more than a hair-line repair. I'll have to keep looking for something that will make it look decent until I might replace the whole thing. Thanks again.
