    1989 fuel gauge ( help )

    My 89 with 19000 miles has a fuel gauge problem. When level is 1/8 to 1/4 on the digital gauge the tank is empty. Is the float in the tank apart of the fuel pump? Any help please. thanks john

      The fuel gauge sender/fuel pick-up is attached to the fuel pump. However, they are not part of an integral assembly. In other words, the pump and fuel sender/fuel pick-up can be seperated and serviced seperately.
