Thinking about a repo steeing wheel and was wondering the opinion out there. Is the rim molded colored plastic, or painted? Are these doing O.K. during judging? Is the texture O.K.? What is the cost of restoring a wheel that is all there, but cracked at the spokes (and needs re-welding)? I repaired my 61 Jewel Blue wheel and it came out O.K. but is now painted, slight texture, and cracked again (that how I learned about the need to weld the spokes!). Just thinking about the whole thing...
