'56 '57 Fender Scoops

For those that may not know, the chrome fender scoops are now available from the Corvette reproduction houses. The cost is $189.00 a set from Corvette Central.

At least a couple of sharpies are offering these on Ebay. A set is currently bid at over $400.00. Only in America!

And several years ago when Paragon was selling them, how much did we pay for them? Seems like in the range of $59????

Pretty risky business proposition - we're lucky anybody makes them. Solid tool steel die-cast molds are VERY expensive, and with the tiny potential market, I'm surprised the price isn't higher in order to pay off the tooling investment.
