    Marc,

You didn't say if your car is a coupe or a conv., but assuming it's a coupe, first check the condition of all the weatherstripping on the T-tops, the doors and the side windows. Sometimes there may be a small gap between the top front edge of the side window and the seal. If the weatherstripping is in good shape then the next place to look is the windshield seal. It is common for the sharks to leak along the top edge of the windshield. Sometimes caused by dried out, cracked and separated sealant, a botched windshield replacement or possibly due to rust in the windshield frame where it leaks through the rust hole and into the interior through header screw holes or additional rust on the bottom edge of the top rail of the frame. Hopefully it's not the latter and this should be checked last. An easy way to check where a leak is coming from is to have a friend spray water around all the seals while you sit in the car to see where the water comes in (and possibly get wet... if you don't like this friend very much you can have HIM sit in the car, hee, hee).

    Good luck, Bob Booth

Marc, You stated that the water was in front of both seats, not on the seats, if I understand you correctly. Check the carpet below the left and right side kick panels that were onced used for fresh air intake and speaker mounting in the older shark vettes. The rain water (or wash water) runs off your windshield into the wiper assembly area and through the plastic screens at the top of both front fenders and down round the fresh air intake and discharges to the ground. Some have a rubber seal and some have a culk like puddy around the fresh air intake tube. This does not rule out the windshield or T tops. But it is another place to look. Also, if the seals around the windows, doors, convertible top, "T" tops look in good condition, I would make a strong recommendation that you clean them all with soap, sounds like you have plenty of watter, and rub several coats of a good silicone gel on all to help soften them up so they can do their job. Rub it in, wipe the excess off, and repeat 2 or 3 times. Some like the spray silicone. Believe me its like using polish instead of a good wax. Doesn't last very long. Any way good luck. Ray

        Marc,

I found a leak of water into my front seat area coming through the vents. When the vents are open it comes in and when they are closed it doesn't. The drain hole in the vent area was plugged with leaves and dirt. When I cleaned them out my problem was solved. Good luck. Paul Young
